People ask me all the time, "When is Von going to play again?" The simple answer, "I don't know".
With their last official show in June of 1999, the Vonamaniacs are screaming for more. It's been over two years, and it has almost happened a couple of times. Now with the impending release of Randolph Von Reisen's first solo album, interest has reached a feaver pitch. "Come on guys, just do it!"
Barry Kleiber, bassist for Von has been quoted as saying, "I would love to see a reunion show at The Beat Kitchen." "That's kinda like our home base, the place where it all started for us." "The Center of Gravity release party at Beat Kitchen was probably the best show I have ever played in my life!" Sadly, there is no audio or video record of this show.
Jay Planet in recent phone conversation said, "Dude!"
Randolph recently said, "Just when I thought I was out, and they pull me back in!"
Mike Mosceki was unavalable for comment, but is certinly still Mike.
Von roadie turned Rock Star Harry McKittric said, "Von is the only reason I kept playing, They helped me realize I didn't suck quite as bad as I thought I did, and now I'm a Rock Star!" "Knockhopper Rules!"
Only time will tell what will happen, But there may yet be one more shining moment for "Planet Von" |
